Played 10K across the board and made 21K
When a horse should be 7-5 and is 5-2,that\'s value,bottom line.
Did real well today with my off shore guy.
Pounded Heat Haze along with a few others.

Probably bet Empire Maker at the Preakness also,coming out of the twelve hole probably was the difference today.
I wonder if he even saw that little damn funnycide horse with those new blinkers on?
Maybe Bailey should have moved the blinker over so he could have seen that shrimp just a little ahead of him.Heh Heh Heh

While I do not understand the Mike Smith comment, all I can say about Frankle choosing the outside is that he knew his horse and given that fact, maybe he thought that EM would bother fewer horses exiting the gate in stall 12 than one closer to the rail. That is a guess and not a fact, and of course, subject to debate.

I will have to review the tape to see if EM actually broke from the 12 hole or from the 11 hole (which he rightfully should have).

Last year, KY made a \"new rule\" at post time regarding a scratched horse. Came Home should have been moved in one stall to the main gate when Buddah scratched, but they chose to move all the inside horses OUT one stall, thereby leaving Came Home in the A gate with a huge disadvantage. (By the way, he was my top pick, though I saved with War Emb. Came Home did win the PC at 10F which sort of vindicated my opinion regarding his ability to get 10f).

Now please address the lousy payoff on Funny Cide who was 19-1 at post but paid 12.5-1.

By the way when you bet on trainers and jockeys its easy to overlook past performance facts, things like blinkers. E.M.inem was wearing them for the third time, he only jumped up once they went on. If you decide to start reading past performances blinkers are indicated with a little letter: \"b\" lol

Mark you there? I was so enthralled with Funny Cides strong move between Frankel\'s \"juice boys\" I never noticed a lack of lead change. Are you serious? I usually watch for it religiously in the stretch and plead for the change. \"Change leads baby, change leads\"...lol.

I get high on these horses but I think you\'re wrong about Funny. I think he\'s very good and theres horses in this crop I believe will prove exceptional. I saw amazing gameness in Funny\'s last two defeats and really felt he had foundation excuses in those defeats. His loss to Offlee Wild in the Holy Bull was similarly excused by me. Breaking from the far hole and getting mugged...lol His ability to run late was never in doubt for me and I knew he took E.M.inem to the 15th round last. It\'s funny how people can see the same event and interpret it differently. Some said E.M. was \"toying\" with Funny in the Wood...lol. I didn\'t think E.M. had a big late punch and contemplated that his hoof might be off. I don\'t think the hoof was a factor today, but my bet wasn\'t counting on it. Funny staggered E.M.inem in the Wood and scared him. E.M. ran farther today but he was a defeated horse in the stretch run. I really expected E.M.inem to bounce out of the money. It\'s testament to Bobby\'s magic he didn\'t.

I liked the final time of the race and the fractions. I felt the track slowed down somewhat as the day progressed and the Derby was run in race horse time. I\'ll leave it to the host to determine that. Too much science in it for me. \"TG BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE!\" And by thatI don\'t mean to imply disregard. I\'ve heard things recently on this board to cause me much contemplation.

Brancusi had to scoot. I mean Farina wasn\'t gonna face the troubles that compromised Indian Express. I was surprised to see him on the lead though...lol But I think he paid an energy price for getting there. I hope he\'s o.k.

I was scared of Peace Rules, but knew that he had not the dosage. (OH S&^%) here we go again.

Fact remains that Funny had the dosage, though I did not bring it up inpre race picks. There were no dual qualifiers, but there were 14 dosage qualifiers.

Gotta go. This prick below me has a tobacco addiction that would astound you. His ashtray fills up overnight and the stench comes right thru the 3 inch crack in my floor. And of course, I am the bad guy for complaining. Just like horse racing, no?

The Mike Smith comment is because ,Smitty had a tendancy to race wide ,especially when he felt he was on a superior animal ,I recall seeing Mikey 5 or 6w in a race on many occasions ,I think Smith is a great rider but I think his strong suit is on the front end.So therefore I think that comment fit him perfectly .When I think of Bailey I think of him riding Gridestone from an outside post and never being more than 2w in the race.I don \'t believe that he didn\'t have presence of mind to tuck him away somewhere,personally I think he should have showed more speed early ,to get to a cozier spot.J.D.was thinking of saving his horse @ Aqueduct ,but not in the Derby ? It doesn\'t make sense to me.I think maybe he\'s near the end of the line.
