We have been getting some good discussion lately on subjects such as the relationship between breeding and stamina, and why sometimes long shots win races we thought we had already long since figured out differently.

It struck me while looking at this video - http://tci.paulickreport.com/endorsement-breezes-in-46-80-trainer-shannon-ritter-speaks/208/#comments - that maybe our equine journalists are speaking to the wrong individuals. Maybe horse racing would be more open to profitable interpretation if we could just get some commentary from the horses. Here, for example, Endorsement seems to have a much firmer idea about his ability to get ten poles than does Shannon Ritter. This sort of thing is really helpful, I think. Now if only the TCI guy had asked about the lack of 2YO foundation ... oh, well.
