At about 6PM Eastern time, Fabulous Strike, by Smart Strike, was victorious in the
G2 Alfred Vanderbilt. FS of course is not Forego, but like Forego, I can enjoy
watching FS\'s races without pari-mutuel involvement.

Yesterday FS was hesitant to load (don\'t know why NYRA lets the tourists stand
along the outside rail near the starting gate). At about the eighth pole
Dominguez swatted FS a couple of times left handed and got very little response,
but either the right handed whip (or FS\'s awareness of the circumstances)
resulted in a winning rally. Already been announced that this one will not compete
at Syn Anita. Hope he returns at age 7.

At about 3:30 Pacific Time, Smart Strike\'s son Looking at Lucky won the Best Pal
at Del Mar. This half brother to Dwyer/ Jim Dandy winner Kensei is now 2/2 and the
TVG yakkers seem to think that this one\'s stride suggests distance - ability.

...and that\'s the way it was, Sunday August 9, 2009.

It\'s unfortunate that we won\'t see two division standouts run in the BC (Rachel and Fabulous Strike) because of this Poly issue.
He beat the best Sprint field I have seen in a while..Very nice horse...

And ran two seconds faster than Game Face. Good thing there was moisture involved, I get to do anything I want with the figure. Otherwise FS would get a neg 7 or better.
