What the fu(k are you guys talking about this Grass racing crap. You heard the Euro announcer on the ESPN set they showed up big because there were NO STEROIDS.

Where were the DRUG GUYS today. No Lake, No Calhoun, No Sadler, No O\'Neil, No Mitchell.

This is a wakeup call for the Officials and Breeders who have been allowing  for more and more drugs.

If you think this year was bad. Next year will be like this years Euro showing on steroids.

Did I say that??

MonmouthGuy

You must be from California if you think pro-ride bore any resemblance to dirt racing.

Because I will give you 10-1 odds that none of the top 4 in the Juvy sniff the board in CD next May.  I hit the Super in the Juvy, the only pro-ride race I hit either day, but it has as much relevance to next year\'s 3YO picture as the 2008 Blue Grass did to this past May\'s.

Think you will see any of the 4 in the Remsen?

MonmouthGuy

This is Sadler\'s record prior to this year\'s BC.

1988 Sprint Olympic Prospect 7th
1989 Sprint Olympic Prospect 4th
1995 Sprint Track Gal 11th
1997 Sprint Track Gal 10th
2004 Sprint Our New Recruit 12th
2005 Distaff Healthy Addiction 13th
2006 Distaff Healthy Addiction 12th
2007 Juvenile Fillies Tasha\'s Miracle 4th

Wasn\'t this year\'s BC his best performance considering Whatthescript hit the board?

A few questions.

Please point out the other years where different drug and steroid policies enabled Sadler to cheat his way to Breeders Cup victories.

In addition, please let me know how many combined Breeders Cup wins that Lake, Calhoun, Mitchell and Sadler had prior to this years change in drug and steroid testing policies.

Finally, list the clean east coast trainers whose fast dirt horses took to the pro-ride over the last couple of days.

Then ask yourself if the drug and steroid policies or the surface had a bigger impact on this years results.

TGJB

Wrong questions. The right ones concern how Sadler and Mitchell\'s horses ran  relative to the figures of the same horses over artificial surfaces previously. How other horses ran in other BCs and how dirt horses ran over Pro-Ride are entirely different questions. With Lake and Calhoun there are other variables because of the ship right on top of the race.

You will know better than I, but it looks like Whatsthescript ran the same race he had in his previous.

And while I am not making the argument that the drug and steroid policies had no impact on this years Breeders Cup, but when nearly every Grade 1 east coast dirt horse runs an X in a two day span, my suspicions are that the surface had a greater impact on results.

One other question, was the rail dead at Santa Anita?  If I remember correctly, Midshipman was the only pro-ride winner within the 3W path.

TGJB

I absolutely agree the surface had more to do with results. This is a separate question.
