DAYTONA will break from the middle and allow THORN SONG to rush up going into the first turn as TS takes the lead. Down the backstretch not much changes up front  as pace slows a bit.

DAYTONA stalks, pounces on the far turn, and goes by at the top of the stretch as WAR MONGER takes up the chase at the quarter pole while PRECIOUS KITTEN and KIP DEVILLE rally from close range on the inside. DAYTONA digs down for more as Solis pleads for another 1/16th of a mile.

The rest.....???

Good Luck,

SA turf has been kind to speed

Precious Kitten is the play here, especially at what I expect to be the approximate odds (10-1 or so).

She has that TG \"0\" to run to, and moving back to a nice hard turf course going one mile, I expect her to run that number.  She is inside and has excellent gate speed, which should allow Bejarano to settle right behind the leaders and get a 1w/1w trip.

I think she will be very very tough to get by, with a nice trip, over that course at Santa Anita.

With the 3 pounds, she is about the fastest in the race to boot.

No, I don\'t see that, we all cleaned up on Kip last year, he looks better this year. a lock to me, maybe war monger. I see this as a major single

I doubt you will see 10-1 on PRECIOUS KITTEN. I\'m guessing that she will be the pick of many public handicappers.

Looks to me like there will a lively early pace in this one with Precious Kitten, Daytona and Thorn Song in a battle for the lead; Goldikova (seven pound advantage to the older boys) and Kip Deville close to the leaders. Based on that I want to look at Shakis (proven inside trip history (2007 Baruch)) and Whatsthescript closing for a major piece.

I don\'t know what to make of US Ranger (looks too slow but is first lasix, Euro first lasix are always a risk) or War Monger, who also looks too slow. Awesome Gem is one paced but will keep running all the way to the wire.

Tri play Shakis, Goldikova and Whatsthescript over those and Awesome Gem and Kip Deville over those and Precious Kitten. 3 x 4 x 4 = 48.

Not sure what you guys are seeing in Precious Kitten...A BO race followed by 2 poor efforts...now you think she\'ll pop?  I\'ve seen crazier things happen but I don\'t know why you think that horse is headed back to the zero..especially since its a female facing the boys.

I don\'t like Precious Kitten either.  She\'s run 2 nice races at Hollypark,  but the last 2 are sub par with a BO designation on both HP races. A reluctant toss.

You can make a case for several in here, and I really respect Daytona. Stalking trip and finally breaking through will put him right there. Whatsthescript ran the nice number last time, loves the distance, and is very dangerous with Gomez closing into what should be a decent pace. But its the only number that puts him in this.  Toss at the price and a probable wide trip. Kip Deville has run some of the best numbers out of any of them and is primed to run in the 0 range again. And its always tough to toss the Euros in any turf race.  Highly competitive race.

I\'ll go with the horse that made us so happy last year...Kip Deville. If Daytona gets away around 6/1 to 10/1 I may have to go that way.  The tote may make my final selection. Should be one of the best races of the day.  Hard to knock any number of selections in this one.
