Man, he was one of my favs.  Visited him several years ago - Gainesway is one helluva place (the ritz carlton for horses my wife thought)...sad to hear of his passing alongside of Princess Rooney.  As I approach my 50th b-day on the 21st, this is the only thing that makes me feel old.

Antony Beck - thanks for making his life \"at the Ritz\" a great one.

He also produced an absolute monster in Star Of Cozzene. He could run on anything, short or long at any track any time of the year. One of the greats.

Sad to see them both go. Wrote up a post last night about the two of them and never put it up so we were thinking alike.

They both had a big influnce in the first and second Breeders Cup when the event was new and nobody knew what they were looking at.

Now with all of the new races, names and surfaces it like deja vu all over again........
