Wow. How will heat/exertion factor into this now?

Girly,

Pre race, the heat factors in for more any hyper type horse that washes out or gets crowd excited and leaves his race in the paddock.

Post race the debilitating/dehydration factor, weight loss will be greater than if it was much cooler. They all use Lasix, except CD?,so the buckets with electrolytes will be ready for them afterwards.

Sight may wish to add the expertise of a vet.

for what it\'s worth, it was sweltering hot in 2000 when future grade 1 winners Aptitude & Unshaded, both late runners, couldn\'t catch the on-the-slow-pace longshot Commendable, who I don\'t think ever won a race again. Unshaded ran a new top in the race but \"pulled up in distress\" I assume from heat exhaustion. Aptitude returned to Belmont the next year and won the JCGC by 10.

NOAA has it at 85 degrees and partly sunny for Saturday...throw in 130,000 plus people and it just might get to 90-95
