DRF reporting that \"Pistol\" Pete Ferriola has been lured out of retirement
to be the private trainer for Ernie Paragallo\'s Paraneck Stables.

Pistol Pete was a high percentage trainer in the late 80s and 90s who excelled
in the winter months. Paraneck is perenially the NY leader in number of
starters,but has not been able to win with more than 10% of their runners.
A trainer for Paraneck has about the same life expectancy as a CEO for Magna
Entertainment.

This could be interesting.

I am making the prediction that Ferriola is being paid to be the trainer in name.  I know nothing specific, I am just going by the past history of Paraneck and Paragallo.

\"I\'m excited, sure,\" Ferriola said Saturday by phone from Florida. \"There\'s a lot of work to be done, it looks that way to me. The horses, they\'ll pick up their feet. We\'ll jack them up a little bit.\"

Yeah, just like the good old days..........
