That oh so familiar sound to racing fans... the hand of racing authorities
slapping ever so gently the wrist of trainer found to have violated racing\'s
rules...the sound of the broom quietly sweeping the problem under the rug.

Goes to show how serious Racing really is about the problem. Leads one to
believe that the racing powers that be feel that the designer drug problem is
very widespread and that PB\'s biggest offense was allowing himself to get
caught.

A year without a training license is a \"slap on the wrist\"?

Not quite.

Sight:

Seems as if the folks in Kentucky never took into account that this is a man who has been excluded from racing in Hong Kong for a period slightly longer than 6 months.

Maybe PB can use his down time to study the \"Trainer Responsibility\" rule.

I appreciated his contrition and his apology that his case might cast a cloud over racing at Breeders Cup time, but his claims that he was unaware that snake venom was in his barn or being administered to the animals in his care is,in a word, fatuous.

My general theory here is that as members of society, we all want society to be forgiving. That way, when as individuals we seek forgiveness, we can almost be assured that it will be forthcoming.
