I think I still have a blind spot about this.
If it\'s easy, I would love to watch the races that stand out in your mind as his amateurish ones at the SPA - I have all the reruns. I appreciated your response initially, but as you can tell, this is going down hard. Point in fact being, I think he would have won the feature today, if he and Todd weren\'t mutually loyal.
Something that actually makes me appreciate both of them, regardless the practicality. You already got in my head, I am thikin\' he\'s wobbly on Nite Light. I need to research this  and put it to bed.

If you have the NYC OTB feed the first thing you must watch is the way Johnny V dismounts. He actually rolls/crawls off of the horses back. He ALWAYS dismounted by jumping or leaping off pre his fall in spring 2006.His back is not strong yet and if you have archives, he always rode high ass and very forward on horses. He sent one from the gate like a shot, he don\'t \"send\" anywhere near as well as before.He fell 4 times at the SPA, how can that be??

Angel Cordero said several years ago that Johnny V\'s greatest assets were his  ability to finish on a horse and his fearlessness.He does not finish anywhere near as strongly now and he no longer seems fearless coming thru a tight spot.Johnny V is not the first athlete who was severely injured and did not come back to their prior capability for physical or mental reasons.

He won 2 today so he\'s gonna win when he\'s best, I\'m not saying he\'s a bum.Right now, he\'s riding like an average jock to me, not like Johnny V.

Funny, that Nite Light look from the back going into the club turn is really what made me think of you and your earlier post. I hate this. The others you could mention, really never came back. And I did worry when Gomez came over that he would hurry too much, and we all are older, not just me. For someone that really thinks \"I want the Money\" every time I turn on the TV or open a form, or download a fig, this sucks, and it ain\'t about the money. You make your point.

Don\'t follow all that closely these days but I know this.

  6 or 7 years ago Johnny V and Jorge Chavez were giant.

  Seems Jorge took a spill and was never the same.

  Now, if the same has happened to JV, what a shame.

  And falling 4 times at SAR, yeah, I think it means something.
