Anybody know if ESPN or ESPN 2 plans on covering 3 stakes preceding Preakness?

If they plan to cover these races, can I get a guarantee that live race coverage
will not be preempted for a Division III softball update or a \"human interest\"
story on Jamie Sanders\' choice of nail polish?

If not I might have to go to the Ghettolands for this P4. Starting back from
the Preakness, I\'m going against the 1/1 favorite bringing his \"A\" game to
Maryland.

In the Schaeffer, is short priced fave Hesanoldsalt that much faster than Ryan
For Real (throw out Poly, big rider change) or TAP\'s Sunriver?

Turf so far firm for a wild Dixie Hcp. 12 to the post, I\'d say this race is
quite deep, with many carrying topweight of 124 under the allowance conditions.
Biancone\'s looks fastest with all sorts of upside, but could he end up chasing
the cheap Wolfson (5 out of last 7), who will be making an NHRA like move from
his outside post? Big spread in this leg of P4?

Chelokee looks solid. Will use him. Soaring By has run as fast as Chelokee, but
not in longer races. I\'m also looking at Stonehouse who will at least help
Borel burn off some nervous energy. Stonehouse showed a big forward TG move in
last (whats a bounce?) and followed that race with an eye opening Arlington
rug burn (4f 46 flat). Not impossible off of his 2 FG two turners? This race is
NW3LT, am not ready to annoint Chelokee off a trouble line in the Florida Derby.
TG sire stats say BC Sprint winner Cherokee Run\'s get are as good over a mile as
they are short of a mile, but these stats might be more helpful if there was
further differentation at distances past one mile. (Long story short-- I have no
problem taking a shot against a Cherokee Run trying to negotiate a 9f 2 turn
event.)

Initial strategy: P4 about $150, no Hesanoldsalt, no Cosmonaut, no Street Sense.
Maybe no cash, but thats one of the 2 possibilities.

Congrats to Nick Santagata. He won 2 races on today\'s Pimlico card. Leading rider for the day. Brings back memories when he owned the inner track at Aqueduct.

ESPN goes on at noon and covers all Pim races until 5pm.Like Flashy Bull on my ticket. Chelokee already won at 9f,this is shorter. good luck

Thanks, Miff.

Time to change the prescription on the reading glasses.

If history is any guide, you will not be able to see the Schaefer.  It\'s carded to run shortly after coverage shifts from ESPN to NBC.  For the past two years, the national network has preferred to talk over crowd noise rather than acknowledge that a graded stake is going on.
