Mike Welsch in the DRF:

Sweetnorthernsaint also looked particularly rough throughout most of his 1.25 mile gallop, his strides short and choppy in contrast to the way he had moved so fluently during several excellent training sessions leading up to last Saturday\'s five furlong work. Moved in a similar manner albeit over a wet and uneven surface the previous morning. Still has a couple of days to get back on the right track but must consider these observations cause for at least some concern for Sweetnorthernsaint\'s ever growing legion of supporters.

This calls to mind Baffert\'s comments about horses who don\'t handle the surface developing aches and pains when you ship them in early to work over it.

Or maybe SNS is just upset about being stood up by Kent.

RICH

Maybe it\'s the -3 (40% chance per JB) finally getting to him, or the 3 big ones ina row. We shall soon see, hey the line looks ok depending on that final number, however, if he goes at 6 or 7-1 he is still underlaid.
