can someone enlighten me as to whether he is in, on the bubble with earnings, or out of the derby?

Richiebee...only a derby winner tops the beatles...only a winner, and I have been on the jazil bandwagon - and flashy bull - for a few months hoping the frustration ultimately turns into roses.

I think he\'s on the bubble, with a very good chance of getting in.  With the defection of Like Now, Flashy Bull is at 21 on the earnings list.  Mister Triester is ahead of him and more likely to go in the Derby Trial than in the Derby, but you never know.  Plus you have the chance that at least one horse in the top 20 is going to come up with a foot bruise, cough, etc. in the next 10 days.
