brazilian - has a pair of slow start \'6\'s\'. looking for a small move fwd, but siding with faster fillies.

zona - looking for a \'6\'. not enough.

ambitious cat - nice campaign last year. worlked from the \'5\' lvl to the \'3\' lvl to a very nice top to end the year. last was tough, as she was off slow and tried to reel in a loose on the lead wend over the GP speedway. nice post, nice timing, and husbands knows how to win with her. key at ml of 8-1.

amorama - looking for a return to the \'5\' lvl under frankel. use underneath.

asi siempre - \'6\' top last year. might go a bit wide, and might need more ground.

miss mambo - interesting longshot. she\'s a well bred filly, with a nice \'4\' on her european resume. toss the slop effort. last was not bad at all. use at long odds.

mirabilis - has a few runs in the \'4\' range. should get a nice stalking trip. the extra 1/16th might not suit well though. use underneath.

wend - tough mare. has a series of runs in the \'2\' range. could get loose again here. low odds the issue.

overview - i will key ambitious cat at decent odds. miss mambo will be underneath at long odds as well, and i can\'t toss the favorite, wend. good luck everybody!!

You could be in trouble with those picks Michael, looks like exactly the way that I plan to play the race.... :)

Wend got a soft lead that day at GS and the turf played really kind to speed during that portion of the meet.  If the pace is reasonable, Ambitious Cat could be the right one.  I worry a bit about Castellano getting off and Husbands getting on.  I know Husbands has ridden the horse before, but I think Castellano is a much better rider.

Jim,

I worry about the pace here. The 1, 2, and 8 all have some degree of speed. If one or two of them challenge Wend early, the field will spread out a bit, and AC will get the trip. If they go slow and bunch up early though, I doubt AC is quick enough to win a 3/8 of a mile sprint to the wire.
