Attached is a flyer for our weekend discussion groups at Saratoga.
Join us at the track every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11AM-noon at the Carolina Barbecue for a lively discussion of handicapping using our data.
A Thoro-Graph representative will be at every session.

Looking forward to BBQ and TG enlightenment Sunday August 7.

Was off for the weekend, up in Cooperstown. Nice town. Anyway, Bill Spillane--TG Field Director--and Julian Weinberg--Professional handicapper affiliated with TG--will be leading the discussion group the first weekend and Julian will host sessions the second weekend. Jerry will be up the second weekend and may make an appearance if he can get out of bed in time. I\'ll be up later in the meet.  We\'re still working out the schedule.

Alan,

I\'d like to ask Bill how he came up with the $6.5K claimer beating $25K/Allowance horses at Colonial this past weekend? If he can explain that one to me I think I might have won the damn contest.

Anyway will be up Friday this week.

Regards,

Word from the Spa is that the first discussion group was well attended and went very well. The location and set-up are evidently very good.

NcTony, & my cohort Howard & I, were in attendance for all or part. I know Bill, who I respect, but was very interested in meeting Julian, who I can say without fear of contradiction is an interesting guy who holds, & has no fear in aggressively backing, very strong opinions, which get stronger as the odds increase. Good stuff & highly recommended, even if you already have a hat.

TGJB,

Yes the opinions were there that\'s for sure. On the Friday Card, had you not just played value plays but played the horses with the best most recent FIGs you would have won 8 of 9 that day. many of us stretched looking for value.

The location is great and so is the food. (I\'m on the South Beach Diet so i had to pass but being NC Tony I\'ve had the \"Carolina\" barbecue is years past).

One constructive criticism would be, since the time of the seminar is between 11-12 you compete with the Track PA system and race replays between 1130 and 12.00 Either you need a small mike or the speakers need to speak much louder. ( I know Bill can do that!!)

Found Julian\'s point of views to be very very intersting and inciteful. Showed me a few things to look for in future use of the sheets.
