Interesting that two animals on the Derby trail-- Rockport Harbor and Galloping Grocer-- have come up with tender hooves. I think both could miss the Derby.

For Galloping Grocer, this is a good thing, and his connections can point him to the New York Stallion Stakes (Times Square Division) one turn mile at Aqueduct at the end of April.

Rockport Harbor started serious training late this year, and probably can not afford to miss even three or four days of training and be cranked for the Derby. I anticipate reading soon that he will be pointed at the
Preakness.

With regards to Sort It Out, why buy the horse and give him to Baffert, only to have the animal left with Tonja Terranova in New York? Given Baffert\'s Triple Crown mastery (which nobody can deny) wouldn\'t it make more sense for Baffert to actually be training the horse, rather than training him over the phone and flying in to oversee workouts?

Naughty New Yorker-- if he is headed to Kentucky, can we find a suitable rider please?

Rockport Harbor comes as no surprise. On the shelf for two months and announcing only two races before the Derby makes one suspicious. Unfortunately, Servis has the fever...

Sort It Out staying in NY isn\'t that odd. Most of the preps are east of the Mississippi and it saves a long cross country trip back and forth. Don\'t be surprised to see Roman Ruler heading east.

\"Naughty\" may not like the like in class, we\'ll see after the Gotham.

May they all come home safely!
