I don\'t care what a bunch of WOKE smucks changed the name to. I grew up and it was the Dixie and it still is the Dixie. Kinda like Dixie Cups.

Joe Anzalone owns this one and they have the hot Junior Alvarado riding. After that knock down stretch battle on Fountain of Youth Day they gave him time. This horse is improving. Dead heated as a long shot with Running Bee at Mth last Summer.

Has only one way to go. Coming from back. Don\'t know how much speed is signed up. Has a good shot

Been following Fort Washington since 2022. He has indeed become a beast at age six -- three consecutive big new tops before the March 1 Canadian Turf win. TG development index suggests he could develop even more and get down to a ZERO.

But some cautions I\'m seeing for the Dixie:
- He hung on the wrong lead on March 1.
- Has never won off this long of a break.
- Shug said in 2022 he prefers firm turf, like many War Fronts. It\'s looking a little soggy this weekend, but maybe not too deep.

I\'m thinking the Dixie may be a prep for the Manhattan (Gr. 1) at \'Toga in three weeks, since he lacks a Grade 1 placing. Its mile and 3/16th\'s could be right what he\'s looking for.

RICH

but at the price, the ones the bet for me, rail and that last number can get it done

The other Shug is interesting to me
2-2 since switching to the turf.
In his last race he was just getting into gear at the end and is going longer here.
Has a solid pattern just lacking a rider.
Also the 8 comes of the layoff runs a new top at first out as a 4 year old always like that angle.
Will be going deep in this leg of the pick 5.
Good luck
John

P.S
Saw the other Shug was scratched after I posted.

Agreed.  Same for the 12 at 30-1.

Non-political facts:

smuck means cute or pretty.

The Dixie Handicap or Dixie Stakes (it has been both) was first run in 1870 as (wait for it) . . .

The Dinner Party Stakes  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinner_Party_Stakes)

And if the Maryland Jockey Club (the name changers, I believe) so offends you, no one forcing you to wager on their races.

This not a fact; only my opinion: No one quite as offended as they claim regarding much involving woke schmucks!  (And that\'s why, my guess, you won\'t abstain from betting on Pimlico races today!)  In all seriousness:  I hope you cash today, most especially on  this race (and have a laugh about the original name coming back and not affecting the outcome at all.)

You did your homework. Hey I know a few WOKE Cuties so I\'m all for a little pepper now and then with my salt.

One Nine Hundred looks interesting in the Chick Lang. Solid Fig two back against Colloquial who came back and won the Lafeyette at Kee. Cruising win next out and pulls in Pratt. Paid $240,000 for this one at an OBS so I kinda get the Vibe today is ATM time connections.

Race is no pushover. The runner to his inside is quick. Romans runner could do anything. But 1-900 was given three weeks rest and is turning in some solid works. He leaves running, stalking and powers away.

Journalism still trending at 6/5.

Whatever you want to call it.
Better be up front today on the grass.
And just like that insert foot.

johnnym

Nice payout
Hope you made a nice score

Thanks, no 7.

Widest on both turns.  Another jock, another 100 yards...
