Wesley Ward just ran Twilight Gleaming at Kee in the Franklin Stakes (G3).  In front early but finished out of the money.  

The past 5 years, Wesley is 26 for 134 in graded stakes (19%).

The past 2 years, he is 12 for 55 in graded stakes (22%).

In the past year, he is 0 for 24.

His percentage for the 29 starts prior to these 24 was near 40% that prior year.  

I guess he just isn\'t getting the talented horses the past year. . . .

Unrelated:  July 15, 2022, Ward had a horse win at Monmouth Park named Insanity It Seems.  That horse tested positive for naproxen and metaformin.

Averly Jane won a race on April 28, 2021 at Churchill Downs
 (Kentucky Juvenile Stakes).  That horse \"caught a dirty\" also and tested positive for metaformin.
