This one doesn\'t only have to do with circuit-to-circuit differentials, but check out the 7th at Belmont today, specifically the figure relationships between Pleasant Home, After The Tone, and Essence. Some of it has to do with us using ground loss when Beyer does not, but not all of it.

And check out the odds...

How about talking about the numbers for the super derby TG/Beyers, theres some big swings in this race?? Like Cryptograph\'s last race, I guess there was some major ground loss. Another one is Caballero last race and Borrego race on 4-10-04 TG #\'s 2.2 and a 2.0, Beyers 96 and a 105 or break his number down into a reading like yours 11 and a 8

Beyers figures , in my view , function more like ( a \"type\" of ) performance ratings -  they\'ll get you to ballpark but won\'t get one to their seat ( in a manner of speaking ) due to their unrefined nature .
If not taken w/ a big grain of salt , individuals who use the Beyers figures may get inaccurate impressions  w/ regard a horse\'s overall + current ability ( + form cycle ) and may thus easily make wrong assumptions and form incorrect opinions about a given horse or race .
