Did you mean the 10th?  The Silks Run?

If yes, it looks to me like the horse previously had an issue racing without Lasix and then all of a sudden in his 6 year old year, he has no problem running new tops and pairing them without Lasix.  Looks like some Lasix substitute may have been found (although not reported).  Am I misreading?  I feel like the complexity of the lasix on and off issue just means that much more work needs to go into the analysis.  Also, as this horse points out, not all trainers are the same on this point - you need to analyze trainer by trainer.  I dont think Casse would have let this horse go for $62k if he was aware of the availability of a Lasix substitute.

Yessir, I did mean the 10th race, not the 11th as I referenced.

I am not attuned to the pharmacology of the backside, but the point you make about a Lasix substitute makes sense to me. Further, I suppose testing will always be playing catch-up.

There could be other pharmacological explanations going on -- it is 6 year old with 20 races under its girth running its two fastest races as a 6 year old -- I was only noting that until this year and this trainer, this horse was clearly one that ran better on lasix than off it and then all of a sudden that changed.  More than one thing can be going on at a time.
