To my eye, the race is between the #3, 5, 6, and 7.

If the ML maker has done a good job, I will be betting #7 - Carolina Grace.

#3 - Kadley. I admit to having concerns about the pilot here -  1/41 on turf doesn\'t inspire a great deal of confidence.

Although #5 - Silent Respect had a pretty fair debut, the pedigree on both sides indicates sprint.

#6 - Heart Rush: trainer has stout-looking 3rd off layoff stats in terms of Win/ITM, but they\'re less impressive in TG terms.

So, lucky #7 for me.

Planning a horse racing sabbatical this weekend finds me with no data. So in considering your pick I used the video replays. I\'m thinking that gives one somewhat of a different perspective than performace figures and form lines.

#7 Carolina Grace - her 1st start this year was in a large field a month ago resulting in a lot of ground loss on the turn in an otherwise good comeback effort. IMO, Her late running style gives me a little pause for the top spot.

#3 Kadley - Exits a very interesting last race when 94/1. Reserved early saved all the ground on the turn split and bunped horses in the stretch while angling out to finish nicely. Either a very good or lucky ride.

#5 Silent Respect - Well backed good looking first out winner. I do respect this one as well as her sire Silent Name and grandsire Sunday Silence. Added distance  should pose no prooblem. A must use for me. Maybe someone knows the trainer\'s 2017 story?

#6 Heart Rush - I expect this one to be forwardly placed early but as for late, I\'m doubtful.

Good Luck!

UM PS, #1 Now Play Nice - Last race win was very gutsy. Could inherit a piece if the late runners get caught in traffic.

I agree with you about the #7 as she would seem to have a good chance of getting back to her top from last year. However, I would be surprised if you get better than 5-1. Also an interesting pick 5 sequence today ending with the Queens Plate. I assume that the Tapeta will be watered again throughout the day,as it is going to be  a scorcher up here. Good Luck.

Grinder\'s opinion that the m/l price would probably not hold up turned out to be spot on as Carolina Grace went off at 3.10/1 third in a gaggle of the top three choices.

Templeton Peck landing on #7 was well considered from a sheets perspective. She looked the most probable to run a winning number/race. When the win reward dropped significantly so did Face Man\'s investment I understand.

Apprentice(?) jockey Fukumoto aboard Kadley ended up the favorite @ 2.75/1 and that could be a near record  (94/1 to 5/2 in successive races, rivaling amazements such as Arcangues, and others. Unfortuneately the ride probably used too much of her energy before the stretch or as some would say she bounced.

Heart Rush ridden as if the race was the B.C. mile by Patrick Husbands led from the start through 6F in 1:09.50. The inexperienced maiden winner Silent Respect with apparently over confident French Canadien journeyman Boulanger attending. C\'mon folks these are 11-12 point horses.

So the slowest horse on the sheets won going away. I remember well when the winners sire Badge of Silver turned out to be a good turf horse because by then I had convinced myself he was best sprinting on the dirt.

The fastest horse on the sheets misjudged the finish line by a quarter of a mile subsequently finishing 2nd to last and avoiding the claim I believe.

In the end it was simply Geez the #8 is 43/1 what if she takes to the turf vs this unaccomplished bunch! $88 $30 $22 right race wrong choice.
