Figured it might be faster. 2nd and 3rd place horses ran their races. However the winner probably did win with something left and will be a HUGE favorite in next as many will skip and point for New York.

Very much a cash positive week for me. Had Audible or Magic won it would have been large. The #\'s panned out time after time with throwing in the usual trainers who point for the weekend or horses for course and there was enough meat on the bone to eat.

BTW Bafferts horse didnt fire all weekend until one. Im sure that is the one he wanted. And expect him about the first of June to go on amazing Hot Streak like last year. These days history keeps repeating itself. Dont fight it....

I thought it might come back faster too.  All the dirt races were slowing down big time.  The filly sprint went about the same as the boys, which was a surprise.

A couple of comments on the chart.

Audible closed very well, and was very surprised to see him in 12th early on.  A more forward placing and he has something to say about the outcome. He looks the biggest threat to Justify, and would love to see him try the Preakness.

My Boy Jack closed well too, but Hofburg was best of all.  Made up 9 lengths from the last call to the line.  Chart also has him steadying twice (which stings a bit).  Another we will hear from at Travers time.

No doubt it will faster on TG. Good Magic ran a bang up race following right behind the winner all the way. Audible has a little trouble turning for home where he instantly had to pause but it only cost him 2nd. The winner was too good. And none of these horses are going backwards on #\'s. (Maybe Audible a smidge). The track was a wet near disaster. A flood alert csme through on my phone at 3:30. It rained solid for the next 4 hours wtf!! This was a BIG effort.

Its so hard to say just how big the effort was. Novel Distance, inexplicable track, certainly scores of horses not firing.

It was an impressive looking win, those that cashed got in just in time, but this horse is going to be odds on next time.

Maybe the next race isn\'t the place to take the shot. Let him dance the next dance and then try to stretch it out on the Big Sandy, with five week fresh horses that showed something. All the better if he wins the Preakness.

Maybe he is the next TC Winner, but it shore wood be sweet to see Baffert make excuses.
