Not much time to post but I\'m on Ring Weekend. The heavy going is curious. Counting on it not helping Heart To Heart or Forge plus a Rosario whoopsee do.

I didn\'t know that, thanks, and it is a small consolation. The race was contentious and I underestimated the winner. Not so the crowd?

Unbeknownst to me at the time of my post, the TG Analysis liked Ring Weekend as both fast & consistent. After considering a couple of scratchs 7/1 was a reasonable price.

My view was most of the contenders had stayed close to fast paces in the past and would press Heart To Heart thruout. That is except Forge whose strength was a strong late kick.

Re: Heart To Heart, impressed by running good pace and fractions. Noteworthy performance and one to watch.

Re: Forge, ran much closer to the pace than I expected and some credit due to jockey  Franco, the import strategy and trainer Bill Mott.

Re: Ring Weekend, to my eye he was harried and bothered thruout the trip by Projected (another runner of which I expected more). The kind of trip that results in a desire for fisticuffs later in the day ala Borel vs Castellano.

Re: Whoops Rosario, TAKEOVER TARGET bumpedlightly with HEART TO HEART at the start, moved up under restraint into the first turn, was eager under restraint while off heels on that bend, raced just off the pace under a tight hold, saved ground on the far turn, was asked at the five-sixteenths, moved to the two path just after turning into the stretch then brushed with GLORIOUS EMPIRE and weakened.

Oh Well, Ring Weekend, as good as he has been, is becoming something of a disappointment. All in all another great meet. Gotta go get the storm shutters ready in case IRMA heads for FL west side.

FrankD.

Turf was No Where near yielding, although listed as such all day and never amended. Riders did not come back very dirty, no sod being kicked up at all. The course was starved for water, took the previous days steady rain very well and quickly dried on a sunny day with a breeze. Good should have been the designation.

Where are the pool watchers?
Yesterday\'s 3rd race saw No Hiding Place enter the gate @5/2 odds flash on the backside went to 8/5. That\'s a pretty hefty plunge into a 261K win pool.

I have no issue with the DQ in the race,it negatively effected me on a pretty good double bet. Once again the stewards inconsistency rears it\'s ugly head with the non take down in The Hopeful which saw Dale Romans in full animation screaming up to the stewards.

Have to differ there Frank on the turf.  Go back and watch the kickback on both courses.  Times validate the softness.   You can argue HOW yld, but it was yld

Sure the tote watchers saw the late $ on the DQ winner.  Was too late to do anything with the info even if you wanted to.  Must have been someone not amused at the takedown .

Hi Frank.   Well, in the next race - on turf - the winner # 7 also had the best YTD fig.  Obviously I was not there to see any moisture live, but...it served me well.
Boulder CO for niece\'s wedding over the weekend - ironic since our horse won race 6 breaking his maiden.  Next stop - KEE G1 on the 7th.  Will I be there?  No, of course I have business in Bordeaux that weekend.
