Sidebar, but I\'m glad you posted this as I haven\'t thought of Play the King in years but I was a real fan of that horse in the 80s. He ran a huge race in the BC Sprint at massive odds in \'88 to run second (to Gulch?). He broke down the next year on the Sunday Silence-Easy Goer Preakness undercard. Sad ending but a really neat gelding to pull for way back when.
