Count me in at the Spa.

Who else will be there?  The NY weather man assured me perfect weather in a private message prior to purchase and stated that many TG VIP\'s will be there.

I\'m told it is never too early to dream about Saratoga......how many days?

TGJB

I\'m probably doing weekends 1,3,5,7. Definitely Alabama and Labor Day. If Upstart runs in the Whitney might change a little.

I\'ve scheduled a trip up for Thursday -- Saturday July 28 - 30. By going for a
couple of weekdays I\'m hoping to enjoy some breathing room and open space.

Frank \"Frankie Rebates\" D seems to be in a position where he will be able to
avoid gainful employment for most of the Summer, so I am looking forward to a
Rust Belt \"Bar and Breakfast\" tour early on one, but hopefully not all, of the
mornings I am there.

Richie,

I\'ve already told Fairmount that if he came for Travers weekend that I would make you an offer you couldn\'t refuse to be there.

Breakfast yes, rust belt AM drinking tours have been retired but Sambuca/coffee is not classified as drinking in Italian culture :)

As a resident of central NJ where trips to Saratoga may end up being a shorter drive time-wise than to Belmont(and certainly less stressful), it warms my heart to read these.

BTW: the suits at the snore continue with their clueless ways of trying to attract bettors. The food trucks brought in 42,000 people who wagered $1.5 million (yep, that\'s $36 a person). Brilliant.

Good Luck,

Joe B,

True, but forces at work hurting Monmouth which may be on life support very soon.Fat Christie has thrown racing under the bus in NJ.Stronach Group playing hardball with NJ horsemen creating trouble filling races at the shore.Attndance and handle way down over Memorial Day weekend.Monmouth was always a great place to go to especially if you are speed bettor.

Hellbent on revitalizing Maryland racing, Stronach group insisting that certain NJ trainers ship to Maryland circuit for summer, instead of Monmouth. If not, those NJ horsemen will be denied stalls at the highly desirable winter meet at Gulfstream Park

Did not know that Mike regarding Stronach. It was tough finding a bet there or anywhere else this weekend. Belmont not much better but they don\'t care. Just as long as on the 11th they get 50,000 drunk college kids, who could give a crap about the Met Mile, it\'s all good.

Getting weary of it all. Thank God for Saratoga.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Joe,

Spa should really be exciting this year, NYRA added new slide in play area.

To be fair, Mike, the new water slide will be much easier to maintain and will generate much more revenue than the escalator it replaced.

miff

Magic,

It is without question that Clueless Kay and his bean counters are only concerned with squeezing every dollar they can squeeze out of the customer. In doing a cursory review of the p&l statement they brag about, it\'s evident that all they\'ve really done is increase prices and made the game more expensive to play,on track.....Brilliant business acumen!

Without casino $ succor, it\'s a tough slog for Mth to put up deep races with any consistency in the current Northeastern/mid-Atlantic Battle Royal for filled starting-gate stalls.
