Ask the Experts / Thank you TG: Pick Six Hit
May 23, 2007, 10:36:14 PM
Jerry Brown and All,

I wanted to say thank you for your GREAT information. I nailed the pick six on a $960 ticket because of TG NUMBERS. The one horse that REALLY stood out (and you can see this in the redboard room tomorrow) is O Bee Niki in the last. I confidently went two deep in that race because all four of these horse\'s cushion track numbers were superior to her dirt numbers. I also nailed Tycoon Doby because of his steller number last out, I not only was allowed to find winners but I also was allowed to eliminate horses with confidence, something that is as equally as important as finding winners.

Thank you for all that you do and your SUPERIOR information. I know MANY of Rags guys that were cashing 5 of 6.

Hesanoldsalt was on a fast surface where Bernardini was on a sloppy surface, keep in mind

What I am not sure of is if the track was sealed before or after the Hesanoldsalt race...I want to say after but I could be wrong

Ask the Experts / Figure Study - Sunday 7/30

Take last three figures on today\'s surface, toss slowest, average other two. Adjust each horse\'s average for weight in standard manner. Rank horses from fastest to slowest, working all the way down through the A/E list. Whichever service has the winner ranked higher gets a point. In event of TG-Rags tie in the rankings for the winner, go to second-place horse, but no lower. If there are fewer than three figures for a given horse, average up what is there. All horses from foreign countries with no figures from one side or the other get tossed for both sides. If either side did not make a figure for a relevant race, the race gets tossed. First-time starter wins? Treat second-place finisher as winner. But go no lower than second. If we go to the third (unused) figure in case of ties, we will eliminate them. Half points for each horse in a dead heat. If one side has both horses rated higher, they get a full point.

the way to phrase that rule is \"Only average of \'same\' races.

The horse in question had two figs entered for TG and three figs entered for Rag, thus the difference.  If I would have averaged just the two figures for Rag, you would have seen the different result

Not changing the rules, just a clarification
