Ask the Experts / STUDENT COUNCIL

Congrats are in order for all concerned.
I don\'t follow this board since gambling and handicapping no longer exist on this board.
Good luck to all the real folks that once made this such an interesting place to visit.

Watching re-runs and noticed P.Val was on Becrux when he won it last year.Man,what a ride!
Sooo,I\'m going with the mile an a half horse...Sky Conquerer.
Has that uncanny way of kicking it in w/authority every time.
Shake,Galantas,and Re.News under.

Will this be the end to his come-back?,and what does one do with an animal that can\'t (re)produce in the breeding shed?

Looked like the big filly was trying to bear in the entire stretch.
Even in defeat she looked much the best.
Guess Pletcher will run him w/fillies on Cup Day.

#3-Shakespeare;most likely to win,but at<3/1 no value to just bet win.
#4-Sky C.;m.l.6/1,may like soft going as both tops occurred in deep going.
But another look shows this animal raced down to both #s.With only 3 weeks since last top effort,I will have to toss.
#5-Kip D.One # wonder?or coming around to big effort!
Good post, fast enough out of gate that he\'s often restrained in early going.12/1 is enticing and he is only a 4yr old.
But his 3yr old line tells me I may be looking at top he will never come close to seeing again.
#6-Galantas WOW! 30/1.Motion takes over and its a different sheet.
His TG figure base shows 70% top/pair last 90 days.Jockey rates 1.5 path on the turf.
The pattern suggests something good around the corner for this lightly raced 4yr old.
#9-R.News;good speed for poor post.8/1 is hell of a price.Ran this race last year but is getting more rest
and surmise that this race is their target(as opposed to others using it as stepping stone to B.C.)
TG figs show 76% new top /pair last 90 days tho only 13 starts.
I\'m from the old school of Mr. Friedman ;to me 1/2 point move(especially w/Browns\'#s)is an improvement and generally won\'t cause any reversal of form.
#11-Art M.-At 4/1 I will take my chances use only in 3rd and 4th hole.

Thoughts ,opinions,questions?....GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I bet the 4 and he came in dead last.
With that said, let me say that other than Lawyer Ron,this was a beat-down you just don\'t see too often.Especially on grass.
The announcer on T.V. said it best when he stated that Anna had Quarter-Horse speed from the gate.
Still,I was surprised how poorly the rest of the gang ran.

Where does she go from here?Dirt or turf...oh yeah,or poly(3 varieties)

What you said re-enforces my understanding from  someones\' post months ago.
That person stated that the horse\'s courage was extended due to lack of fatigue,or feeling the effects coming on.
Of course when MTMC2returns,we\'ll have a clearer picture!

9th race at Lovely Laurel.The jock(my boy),stood up at 1st finish line.
Not like dropping ball before crossing finish line but he may have lost a customer.

ps  jock came back to win next race(on even money)

I feel somewhat compelled to apologize for Chuckles attack on a piece you wrote that was so completely over my head as to cease reading the piece midway /first paragraph.
Envision Chuckles as Orson Welles, and his oratory on what is wrong with racing as his War of The Worlds.
I feel you see yourself as more a scientist than Dr.,hence the complicated response to questions raised.
If you decide to re-enter the fray(hopefully),try using bedside manners to educate the inspired but uninformed.

                                    thanx

This is some great betting opportunity...so many shots;so little time.
D.Q. anyone under 10/1 M.L.
Testama is a fingers crossed toss.
Who is Shannon Ritter and how do you go about having a 700K yearling in one\'s barn? OK,hold on to that sheet.
Dancin babe looks great 2nd off lay.Last 90 days for trainer are always good to turf specialists, but 30/1?!...WOW
Lemonlime gets mention because of marked improve w/blinkers.
Last two were problem lines, but at 20/1 ,you\'d be crazy not to use him in 3rd and 4th hole.
Belair is by Smart Strike,we\'ll slip him into3rd and 4th hole at 20/1
You Go(not the car),looks like a winner(6/1?),OK top 2 spots.Never win w/Mr. Greely 3yr olds,N.Y. bred to boot.
Touch not getting juice? TOSS!
Anna at 5/2,TOSS!
Mott horse has speed from 13 hole,TOSS!
By Browns\'pp\'s,Box3/4/8 ex and tri.
3/4/8w3/4/8w5/6/7w5/6/7

Over-spending has been around since the beginning of all racing.
Just as picking winners has become sophisticated,so has every niche in getting a horse ready to run for black print.
Ever wonder why the \"steinbrenners\" of the world don\'t jump into racing like they do in baseball or football?
Because next to the Arabs, their cash ain\'t nothin but trash.
Lets hope the GI\'s don\'t teach the Middle East about our sporting customs!
