DRF has reported that Paul Cornman, a fixture in NY racing, has passed away at the age of 73.  He was an excellent handicapper who appeared with Harvey Pack prior to the races and went over the day\'s card.  Always had inside information that he learned from trainers and watching workouts on a daily basis. He was very approachable and didn\'t hesitate to share his thoughts and opinions.

He also owned a number of quality horses including Win which made him very successful.

Many fond memories of a NY racing icon. RIP.

Governor Cuomo stated yesterday that it is very unlikely that the Saratoga meet will be held this Summer.  He felt that with NYS being shut down for such a long time that attendance would be off the charts resulting in a spike of people being infected with the virus.  He said \"attractive nuisances\" such as Saratoga, State Fair, etc. cannot interrupt all the progress that has been made.

I think he will reconsider this decision as we move forward but he certainly did not sound optimistic.

The defense for Ms. Rojas is convinced that Ms. Rojas will be vindicated upon appeal of this matter which they intend to file in the coming days.

Wow!  The defense thinks she will be vindicated on appeal.  Every criminal defendant sitting behind bars has had the same thought.  Be sure to let us know how that works out for her.

The analysis did not have any winners except Flintshire.  Another tough day at the Spa.

While many were moving toward Fresian Fire as the Derby got closer, you were one who based on his appearance days before the race cautioned everyone to look elsewhere.  Do you have the same feelings for the Preakness?

Mike\'s Dream Team finished 3rd at 6/5.  Anything that seems too good to be true, is, at least in horse racing.

I agree that you should proceed with caution on \"Mike\'s Dream Team.\"  The owners paid 180,000 for him and after a very promising first start (4th by 2 lengths in a field of 13 MSW and a Beyer of 78) they drop him into a Maiden 65 Claimer.  Will they take that kind of a loss just to get their picture taken???  The RED FLAGS should be up.  Current odds 3/2.  Caveat emptor!

He will be retiring in the middle of February.  The race caller from Suffolk will become Durkin\'s backup.
