I bet Straight Line in the Swale! Thought he had an excellent shot to fill the exacta

Nothing to think about. Keep him with the 3yo\'s for the time being. That condition, optional claimer nw3ot is written fairly often, no? SL only receives a 4# break in the weights and why slug it out vs tuff older when weaker 3yo\'s await! ;-)

Straight Line has some nice turf breeding in his pedigree and experimenting here isn\'t a bad idea. http://www.pedigreequery.com/straight+line5   He\'ll get a break in the weights to boot. [You can also do a rain dance, scattered t-storms Saturday, LOL]

SL had a nice 2yo line working down to a 3.5 and that number is likely best of the entrants [not that dirt/turf numbers are interchangeable].

Turf to dirt is a nice return angle for some trainers [Harvey\'s stats weren\'t listed in SL\'s Swale sheet] Perhaps you guys discover a budding turf star!

Good luck!

Knock it off already.

The horse has crushed the competition every time he\'s been asked. What more do you want? Would the result of the MET been any different if he was carrying 135? Hardly.

I\'m certain I speak for many: You and classhandicapper consistently fill this board with waaaaaay too much bullshot.

Jimbo66, I was thinking the same thing. The Klown has served suspensions in the past, time for a freshening? LOL

Sadly he\'s not funny anymore...

Saddlecloth:

You\'ve hit the nail smack dab on the head. TGJB\'s comments were the most informative on this board in quite some time. Far more interesting than reading Krybaby the Klown bellaching endlessly about Ghostzapper [when the issue is Frankel] or classhandicapper\'s inane musings.

Occasionally I\'ve posted asking folks to check out certain horses in the Red Board Room, but to no avail. People can ramble on endlessly if Beyer gave a certain number. Who gives a flying ratz azzz!!!!!!!

GT is a guest of the Justice Department. He and his partner arrested for bilking investors out of millions of $$$. Bail denied, lol.

Ask the Experts / Re: What a Light Weight
May 28, 2005, 10:04:52 PM
Whining Bobby recently scratched Megahertz from the Gamely for picking up a pound [124] after winning the GII Santa Barbara.

The racing secretaries should pile on the weight on all of Frankel\'s runners. He\'ll keep scratching and eventually some of the owners will get ticked off for keeping the horses in the barn.

123 in the Met is laughable.

During the weeks before the Derby, High Limit worked with Zapper and was forced wide on a couple occasions, making me wonder how sound he is. Him scratching wouldn\'t be a surprise.

At Aqu outer:

Shug: 15-6-3-1

H.A. Jerkens: 52-9-10-11

McLaughlin: 49-8-7-5

Lake: 59-12-11-8

Violette: ?

I guess you can\'t keep winning them all, lol.

Guys, the 1m 3/16ths went in 2:04.12 not exactly death defyingly fast.

Falbrav ran an equally bizarre race in the King George, was on the outer rail and cut in on the last turn, didn\'t help, lol.

The boy should get 30 days and an ass kicking..........We\'ve seen this ride before.

Agreed spa.

That shot by Dominguez would\'ve made Earlie Fires and Chop Chop Chavez blush. He hit the horse in the ribs for pete\'s sake, not his flank. The horse no doubt wondered what was going on.

Many of you will think I\'m coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs with this one. I think he might be a gate crasher. Last three figs

H-I is suddenly improving by leaps and bounds. Change in bits, perhaps he had a myectomy a few weeks back? Who knows for certain, but something major changed. Worked a 5f bullet at Crc.

DP = 8-2-10-6-0 (26) DI = 1.36 CD = 0.46 This one has plenty of stamina influences in his pedigree, tho his races don\'t seem to indicate as much.

Hal\'s Image is a 3/4 brother to millionaire Hal\'s Hope

His sheet is very reminiscent of Sarava [70-1] Belmont winner, who was an improving horse a few pts slower than the better ones. This isn\'t a spectacular 3yo class, with some ugly lines coming into the race and coventional wisdom says no, he\'s too slow[likely true? ha ha ha], but I\'ll give him a whirl in here, an improving horse, with the right trip, at a huge price.

Good luck!

Ribot never touched a dirt course! 16 starts 16 wins including the Arc twice. Would he ever have lost? Who knows?

Hallowed Dreams, puhleeze. Most of her wins vs La bred mules.

Any streak is difficult to string together and a dash of luck is needed. Giving them the same accolades? Surely you jest.

Match race for what?!? Sprint on the dirt, a romp by US runners.

Sorry. But to equate Silent Witness\'s streak with Classic winners Ribot, Citation and Cigar is preposterous.

If your type of thinking started permeating the horsey landscape, the Ky Derby would quickly drop to a new Classic distance. \"Can this sprinter actually go a grueling 8f?\" After all, most start out as good sprinters, why try longer distances?

For god\'s sake show me where these rich blah blah\'s are tripping over their feet to ruin their horses? Show me one instance, damn it. Statements as yours are a disservice to the sport and industry.

Ask the Experts / I luv to laff
May 14, 2005, 01:47:04 AM
Skimming thru my simulcast book a 20-1 shot in CD\'s 9th piqued my curiosity. Sir Laff Alot is tied for the fastest fig with #3 Cherokee Path [6-1]. SLA was looping back to that # before the latest vacation [well sorta....11/9/7]. He\'s tearing up the track with 3 straight bullet works. But it does kinda look like a random #.

Pat Day will likely kill the price on #5 Semaphore Man [8-1] SM paired 2.5\'s.

#6 Social Probation 5/2 is another bad fav with a top of 7.5!!! I\'ll take my chances.
