I love the sheets and thier affect on the game, I cant wait until we get a 3 race season from top horses!

Wonder if that guy Allen Jerkins uses the sheets?

Ask the Experts / Polytrack and bounces/regressions
October 08, 2006, 03:25:55 PM
is there any stats that show the realitive bounces and regressions coming from horses running on this surface?

most claim, though I am dubious, that its like turf, and turf horses historically recover quicker with less bounces.

yawn, this debate goes on every summer

different stroks for different folks.  no doubt that saratoga has a deeper pool of horses with several states shipping horses in and thus has a better product, but you have to deal with many many days of rain were the turf racing turns to 4 and 5 horse dirt races after hourse of planning.  You also have to deal with pletcher the first two weeks (probably runs at 80% tops that period).

It will be interesting to see if the trends continue from belmont summer where the straight alw races and high level claiming races could hardly fill unless they run optional claiming.

i vote for saratoga, i clearly am at my best in picking winners on the majority of days that are rained off the turf!!!!

What figure did Carthage get that makes you say he was affected by his last effort?  TT just won a grade 2 a few weeks ago, did he bounce as well?
