one definite outcome of this bizarre preakness is that jeremy can ride and
compete with the \"elite jockey colony\"

what better place to relocate than
ny who welcomes and needs such heroes..

aside from improving lines,this horse
brings one other dimension to the
race, namely an owner who is stuck 200k for supplementing gg to the ky derby.

every time i discount his trainer in
ca, i get destroyed,so, maybe i\'ll
finally even out against mr stute,

aka astute?  or ass tute?

wonderful statement except for the following

the reality of the hype about bellamy road
being the next secretariat ,slew, etc was
bogus to anyone following speed figures, pace figures or familiar with aqu on the
day of the wood or even the day after when speed was king and horses were running
in most cases, 30% faster than their normal
speed.

b.r. beat up on horses that had been competing against each other, and like many
speed horses, look phenomenal when not challenged.

why zito picked post 16 still boggles
my mind when no real jock within the
first 10 positions would sit back and
let the horse win for fun.

while the race did not play out that way,
when you are the speed, post 1-5 are logical picks.

finally, the wood was a lifetime top
for a relatively inexperienced horse
and churchill, from races 6 forward was
not playing up to speed.

so, while horses are flesh and blood, and luck still is part of the game, numbers,
pace, racing style ,and post position proved,(at least for me) that bellamy
road would be off the board.

case closed ...

Ask the Experts / the belmont debacle

watching the race from ideal seats
and looking at the so called competition,
it became clear, as i previously told everyone, and as most handicappers felt,
the only horse that could beat smarty
was smarty and/or his connections.

the ride on smarty,at least as far as
being close to suicidal fractions and
hanging in the 7 to 9 path was insane
to my observation, but i think ellot sensed he simply was riding the best horse.
fact is the horse was floundering in the stretch and weaving about  with shortening strides
my problem with servis is why this horse wasn\'t at belmont @least a week before
the race to gallop..note,he worked the horse
prior to the derby..
finally, regardless of the outcome,this
horse had the most rigorous campaign of all of his competiton, and simply lost to a rested horse who previously was trounced by
by s.j in kentucky.
what a downer.......

face it,this horse/freak is running lights
out and in his own zone, with no competition.

lion hearted already has shown the wear
and tear of battle attempting to compete
with s.j. on  the early and mid parts of the
derby and preakness and the balance of
opposition simply can\'t close on a horse, who,in his last race was not
being urged in the stretch and missing
the track \"record\" by @ 2 seconds.

superlatives aside, this unbeaten horse at different tracks, distances, surfaces, has
done nothing wrong,and/or everything
right, which can not be stated for any of his
competition.
this romantic tale ,will, god bless this team,be proven once again on june 5th

in all the years(25) in watching races
throughout the us, i have never witnessed the insanity of waiting @15 minutes for the result of a photo finish.
i really believe there was no crew readily available for this situation which is
really an insult to anyone betting the exotics ,or especially to the owners/trainers.
