Any attempt to connect the use of Lasix to the problem with the racing surface is simply DEFLECTION on the part of Santa Anita management. These are two separate issues. No cause and effect relationship has ever been shown connecting Lasix use with breakdowns. The great majority of American trainers feel denying Lasix to bleeders is inhumane. The breakdown situation is 3-fold. 1- structural problems with the track; 2- unusual weather conditions; 3- pressure from racing secretary to fill races. Until they move the meet to Los Al and dig up the surface, I don’t feel there’s an end in sight.

You go, Beau!
Great singles for pick 3/4/5 sequences, which is where the money was made yesterday
Skyring\'s thorograph breeding info included a dam who produced horses who ran 4,5,6 on turf and he had a good pattern and fast dirt numbers
And don\'t forget Il Villano earlier in the card...certainly another that you could have singled
The Best Bet of the Day was certainly Clare Skies Ahead...a blind man could have come up with her!...and she ran an amazing race!

Ask the Experts / THOROGRAPH SCORES BIG IN CHOOSE 6 DEBUT
July 18, 2005, 08:54:04 PM
I was at Delaware Park for the Sunday debut of the new Choose Six wager and those using THOROGRAPH data had an AMAZING day!!! I was 1 of 5 winners of the bet and it paid $7500! When I went to cash, 2 other winners were standing in line waiting for their big payoff. One was the renowned Jerry Brown, the \"King of the Thorograph Thing\", and the other was a Thorograph user from the Harrisburg area. So, of the 5 people who won the bet, AT LEAST 3 were THOROGRAPH USERS! (the other 2 we dont know about...could be T-GRAPH users too!). Either way, it was an outstanding day, since not 1 favorite won the last 7 races and the pick 3\'s were fantastic as well. Looking at the T-graph sheets made it easy to come up with the $32 and $22 winners and \"Major Mecke\" was an absolute \"lock\" that paid $12.60! I had a fantastic day and it was all thanks to THOROGRAPH!. The people at Cantor Trading have come up with a great way to make a difficult bet much more \"hit-able\", but lets face it...you need great data to win big...and THOROGRAPH is the BEST!

Ask the Experts / Ya Hadda Be a Blind Man...
May 18, 2004, 07:38:43 PM
I just wanted to relate a story about my day at pimlico on saturday...I went to the preakness with my son and his college roommate. they were seated in a different section than i was in and i gave them a set of sheets and about 5 minutes worth of instructions. It was one of those days where YOU HAD TO BE A BLIND MAN, not to make money using THOROGRAPH! Needless to say, the boys split $800 at the end of the day, having started with a meager $100 bankroll! (Dad did QUITE a bit better!) I received a thank you note from the roommate today, describing me in religious terms (calling me a \"god\") and thanking me for sparking his new interest in horse racing. He ended the note with the hope that someday he\'d be able to read the sheets like me! I didn\'t want to tell him that he already did!
Hey guys...you\'ve heard of \"take your daughter to work\" day...maybe we should start a \"buy your kid some Thorograph sheets\" day...we could fill that empty grandstand up in no time!
Jerry, thanks again to you and your staff for a great product!

1- jerry...please add the 5 points
2-in discussing the present system of penalizing \"positives\", the only person that gets hurt when a horse comes up \"positive\" is the owner...he loses the purse...the trainer gets days; his reputation is sullied (ha!) and he goes on vacation, while his assistant trainer conducts business as usual...and for many of the owners who deal with the \"super-trainers\"...they\'ve made so much money already that this is the price of doing business with these guys...i have a different idea....when a trainer has a positive, ALL HORSES owned by that owner are ineligible to race for 15 days...2nd offense-30 days, etc... how many owners are gonna want to deal with that trainer when all he\'s gonna do is write checks, without any cash inflow?...the answer is NONE...that trainer will soon be out of business...it\'s amazing to me that when you are caught driving drunk your license is immediately suspended, but in racing, trainers can have 10 positives a year and continue to train...do you think my idea has any merit?...your opinion is valued
