Ask the Experts / Payout question
September 11, 2014, 05:30:02 PM
If anyone can give me a definitive answer I would appreciate it. Today at Gulfstream I played a pik 5 and left the the similcast outlet. Pik 5 was not hit so there was a mandatory payout for picking four of the five races. The last race I had four horse\'s going in and the winner was not hit. Payout for 4 out of 5 is $252.90 okay, my question is do I get paid the $252.90 for all 4 horses seperately I had on my ticket or do I get paid for only one amount of $252.90. Also, this is a .50cent ticket play.

Thanks in advance for the correct answer.

I saw the race and saw the head on. A ridiculous take down.

Ask the Experts / Nasal strip

Anyone notice second and third races today at Belmont was won by Nick Zito\'s horse\'s which both of them wore a nasal strip. Just an observation.

You got Sherman\'s quote mixed up. He said \" it\'s NOT going to move him up 5-6 lenghs\"

This horse will run in the Belmont with a nasal strip or without in my opinion. The only way he doesn\'t run is if it\'s health related somehow. You don\'t pass up a chance of a lifetime to get the triple crown unless horse is hurt.

Re: I glanced at the Rags site. There must be some kind of technical snafu because I didn\'t see any new posts. Nada.Nary a one?

Why are u so concerned about any new posts on the Rags forum. Don\'t you have anything better to begin your post with then whether they are having some kind of technical snafu or not. If there are not any posts on their board ..... So what\'s the big deal about it. Get real eh.....

Ask the Experts / Gulf pik 5

Does anyone know what this play is at Gulfstream. $.050 Z-5 super Hi-5  10th race results.

I have emailed Equibase which is where I picked up the result but, of course they don\'t respond and I don\'t expect them to respond. This is not the first time I emailed them but never get a reply.

Thanks in advance

The name of the hotel is Ocean Place spa and resort. My bad not Ocean Palace....

The Ocean Palace is a great place to stay. It\'s located about 3 miles from Monmouth. They have a pool and also a beach for people who stay there with lounges and umbrellas. The hotel is right next to pier village which is one of the best places to enjoy a summer weekend at the shore. Restaurants, shopping, etc, etc, outside of the hotel a long the beach there is a walking promenade which over looks the water and the beach. It\'s awesome. In the back of the hotel which over looks the water and beach is a bar with music and all kinds of lounges. Really nice and crowded on the weekends.

Anyway, I would say u will have great time at this location for the weekend. A lot going on there and as I said u will be right next door to the very popular hang out of pier village. Hope this helps.

Thank you....... Nice to see someone else chime in and view exactly what I viewed on the replay. What\'s right is right and what\'s obviously wrong is wrong. Espy did the best he could with what he was on. The other horse was a monster down the middle of the track, was hand ridden all the way to the wire and was going to pass Espy no matter if he buzzed his horse.

Totally wrong he for sure went to the whip before he was passed. I suggest u watch the race again. By the way IMO whether or not espy used his whip or not he was going to get beat. His horse was all out. No, I did not have anything riding on the race. It\'s what I observed from the replay. It\'s very clear he went to the whip BEFORE he was passed.

Have a great day and may ur next photo finish go your way. All the best.

As far as I can see from the replay Espy was whipping the heck out of his horse when he felt the other horse coming at him. I didn\'t see him falling a sleep at all. You get beat u get beat that\'s it. Not the first time and won\'t be the last. Hope u have better luck today and perhaps make up for the loss of not getting ur horse home first. All the best........

RE: For what it is worth, anyone sitting near me at the contest heard me say on the first day that Baffert would not win a race and Game on Dude would not hit the board in his race. I can get you witnesses.

Wow... that\'s a fantastic prediction. Give me your address so I can send you a box of chocolate chip cookies to pass out to your witnesses.
