Is Mark Casse an idiot?

Hear me out. Anytime you can run the division leader against another one of your horses on a completely different surface in a 3 horse race you gotta do it. Right?

Dude had his horses top effort wasted on a dumb off the turf race against 2 other horses, again, one from own his barn. This horse is going to be so over the top, it is not even funny. Way to ruin a good horse, Mark.

This guy is a clown.

Was that race too fast? Keeneland has come up pretty slow IMO. And in the tapit trice race the horse closed into a horse who doesn\'t want more than a mile (zooms in on the sire\'s mile over vs mile under stats).

Ask the Experts / to bounce, or not to bounce?

William Shakespear:

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether \'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,

---

This is a good time to bring up the bounce theory. Esp on classy horses.

Personally I have always found, excluding extreme cases, that horses dont bounce as often as people project them to. This includes TG folks and regular horse players who dont use the sheets as well.

Sometimes they just dont run their race. Horse get\'s bodied out of the gate and pulls up? Bounce. Horse runs into a horrific pace scenario? Bounce. Horse gets stuck behind a wall and can\'t get through? Bounce. ... Basically all I am saying is that I think the phrase gets used way too loosely.

this is not a post against TG, more so an opinion on a different way to look at things.

Disclosure:
I loved Arcangelo and did not cash in the sequence. So eff me.

Also:
Rags has an awful presentation. They could have the best figs in the world, and I\'d never use. Thankfully they do not.

ha. at least I hit the exacta. (of being wrong)

for racing? great, sure.

for the horse? I do not think she hits the super. Not fast enough, and she flattened out the last time she tried this at Oaklawn. Not much of an excuse there. ... this isn\'t Rachel.

Oaks / Acorn / Alabama if memory serves correctly.

ha fair enough...  also, I agree with you on the Preakness. Terrible move.

ha im not implying any thing on Dwayne\'s part. Race fell apart and the best (only?) true closer won. Simple as that, IMO.

Are you reading into him scratching his horse at the last second and thereby allowing a horse who was sitting on the best race of his life to draw in?

Or are you just complimenting his attire?

I\'m young and don\'t get the first part but man is he bad. sure he is a great guy but is that really the best they can do? between him and Serling (the worst) NYRA is a cast of misfits (Love Maggie and Stabile).

upon reflection, I think this is the correct take. Blazing pace and horses out side of Zandon and Epicenter (more on him later), horses that finished top 5 were all way far back at the first call. Simply put, the Race broke down and the horse with the fastest closing pace fig (time form) got a great ride weaving between horses to steal the race. If the best horses on paper, or in the race, won 100% of the time, would we even care to play this game?

Imagine this, Irad had the 1 post and navigated his horse 10 wide, while the horse in the 21 post, got a perfect trip up the rail. Irad Ortiz had his lunch stolen by Sonny Leon. ... It takes me back to a book I read years ago called Scorecasting. The basic premise of the book is that in sports, you often have athletes who play not to lose, versus playing to win. That is what Irad did (take a horse 10 wide and hope for a check) and on the flip side, Sonny played to win (fearlessly navigate horses driving home on the rail).

On to Epicenter. Far and away the best horse in the race. If only Joel had gotten him to switch leads, and I think he holds off the charging closer to win the race.

... drugs. Never seen a more laughable outcome. Not sure? Drugs are the answer. Props to the team for a good fight.
