Watching the head on view, Forever Young’s jockey lost his whip when bumped by Sierra Leone also was Tyler Gaffalione sticking his arm into Forever Young’s jockey at the wire? Looks fishy

This story was told to me by my father who was a lifelong horseplayer. Back in the 50\'s, when Calumet Farms ruled horse racing, they sent a horse out west named Miz Clementine to run in a big stake race. She won the race and was dq. Mrs Markey, owner of Calumet, vowed to never race again in California and she never did. Goes to show the power of big stables.

Watch the replay of the Saratoga Special. Yes there was a infraction but at the finish the horses involved were many lengths back, apparently how close the finish does not determine take downs. But who was the trainer of the dq horse.

I think the answer to your question actually has two parts.  Bill Mott & Grade 1.
Enough said.

No such thing as a big price winners with 6 horse fields. Occasional price when a race falls apart. Don\'t see West Coast racing surviving in the direction it\'s headed and I\'m from the West.

IMO  The horse breeding industry is holding the horseplayer hostage in this situation. Their failure to adopt artificial insemination into the breeding process forces the best animals to stud. With the advent of DNA testing, a horses lineage could be verified accurately within days. Why doesn\'t The Jockey Club allow AI and let the best of the best continue to run.

Over $980.00 on a $2.00 tri.  Not bad since a key to all costs $84.00
