For the record. Caught the exacta nicely in the Derby. Not an attorney never have been. Not a manager of any pick 6 syndicate or any gambling group. A winning player for past 12 years even taking out the million won at NHC. Oh and finally, eff Arcadia123 whoever the eff you are. Have a nice day and good luck with horse racing guys and gals.

Ask the Experts / BC BC Entry - Thx TG
October 11, 2016, 06:31:50 PM
Thanks to the data I qualified for the BCBC. Last race at Keeneland on Saturday just needed to pick winner and Guest Suite not only had best fig but data you cannot get anywhere else showed that in every listed example of Howard 2nd time out the horse improved his figure but a few points to a few points PLUS.

That is invaluable information but for me it was worth 10k.

Nice work on the Ellis Park figure boys. Oh and the horse was 6-1.
thanks.

Not sure if this figures into it but the Twinspires players pool bet 80k into the first day and none the second. I think they/we hit it about 8x first day?

Ask the Experts / Re: P6 at Churchill
May 11, 2016, 06:04:38 PM
Churchill will pay out 350k + additional money tomorrow for .20 cent ticket. Does not have to be a single ticket winner. Mandatory payout.
Friday the same pool jackpot pool - single winner 20 cent - is seeding with 300k to start like the Rainbow.

confusing I know but tomorrow is a lot of dead money for a mandatory payout and 20 cent pick 6.

Lanerie seems to like the rail quite a bit with his mount.

Check out the 9th at Laurel and see the ride Mr. Betancourt gave the 9, the look on his face when he glanced over and noticed another horse coming is priceless. Well not exactly priceless since it cost me plenty. and I had to laugh about it though.

I was looking forward to showing Mr. Covello and crew how to pass a good time for sure but I believe Power Alert will scratch due to the massive amounts of rain we have gotten down in cajun country. No way the turf course is going to be anything near fast and there is a chance the race goes dirt we have gotten so much rain and more in the forecast.

PLEASE run at Evangeline. I promise a good time will be had by all in attendance! And, just by the way, Evangeline is not Bayou country - it is Cajun Country. That\'s why you need a local guide like me! Great run by Power Alert. Bring the horse and Lynchie down to Cajun country.

I wonder what De Kock\'s horses were running previous to them running in the US and what type of improvement - if any - we can expect. Did his previous 6 horses - all of whom ran in the $ - pair/top/OFF in their first US starts?

Ask the Experts / Re: any early thoughts on pace?
April 22, 2015, 03:29:51 PM
My thought this year on pace can be summed up in one word - fast. these are fast horses who go fast early and there is an abundance of those in the field. It would defy logic to assume that this one race they will all of a sudden decide to rate kindly and take back leaving one of \'em on the lead. I\'m playing for a pace collapse. One horse who i have a strong opinion on is Dortmound. My read is he just doesn\'t want other horses in front of him - ever. Which makes him a tough read IMO. He runs faster than his competition but outruns them every step of the way. Now, he will have early company up front and I\'m not convinced he can or will rate kindly. In a smaller field, say the Preakness, he would be a serious win candidate but in a 20 horse field - I just think there will be that outlier - like a Palace Malice - to challenge him early and cook his goose. Ask the Experts / 1st Gelding
April 07, 2015, 12:06:32 PM
Curious if you guys have done any statistical analysis on the 1st Gelding note. For example, whether it produces a jump up or improvement in figure. Database is not big but would be interested to know if you plan on adding to the list of stats on the Full Sheets per trainer - where i know the data set is tiny. Thanks. Michael

Ask the Experts / Re: 48 going on 55...

It was a tough weekend for everyone. I made it to 17th early on Day 3 but then fired blanks although a win by Wild Heiress would have gotten me to the final table (she lost a 3-horse photo at 15-1). There is NO way I could have won it though as the final table 7 races totally chalked out and I was too far behind to catch up.

Weird sequence of winners made for a jammed up leaderboard day 2. Any winner jumped you up dozens of spots. I fell to 382 early day 2 and ended at 24th while not having the greatest day. Planned to play chalk/short priced horses on Day 3 to chip up but after hitting a 9-5 --- YES I played a 9-5 -- I kinda tilted after Wild Heiress lost and went back to trying to hit the one buster I knew I needed with no luck.

Thanks again to Thorograph for free stuff and there is NO way I would have ever played Spirit Rules if not for Thoros. I had a generous interpretation of his line that was more of a desperation read than anything else.

thanks,
Michael
