Ask the Experts / Re: Congaree and Frankel in the BC

Colorado Capper:

Classhandicapper has a good suggestion know thy enemy.  My choice would be the TG product, becuase I believe splitting the variant methodology is better and reflects reality.

I suggest you use the other product if you believe horse\'s perform erratically, without a significant change in physical fitness, and you believe using a variant comprised from races over several days and varying track surface conditions is a better reflection of reality.

The above post sounds like it originated from a worthy economists lots of information without a specific conclusion.

What is your conclusion based on your original premise about which product to use on a go forward basis?

Why do you care what everyone else does.  Do what works for you.  Personally, I use the print edition of the DRF along with TG.  I find the print edition to be less cumbersome and easier to use than the on-line pps.

Ask the Experts / Meat and potato
June 10, 2003, 10:46:50 AM
Stakes, forgetaboutit, it is the "meat and potato" races we depend on.  I am guessing LF's methodology will get the variants wrong for AP week of June 4 through June 8, because of the changing weather and track maintenance.  I am already looking forward to when certain horses run back, because Len and the gang will either have them too fast or too slow.   And I am not telling what day(s) will cause the error, because I do not want to tip LF off too much..  I am extremely confident Jerry will get it right. I enjoy those smoother lines.

Best wishes:
