Jerry,
I was there and couldn\'t fly in until friday which was ok until we landed at LAX and sat on the plane for 3hrs. After flying to Long Beach made it to Santa Anita by 2:30 wound up breaking even on friday. Sat had some tough beats betting Rosalind, Judy the Beauty, Gentlemens Bet and Silentio. Also lost a bundle on Smartys Echo in the Juvenile and Twilight Eclipse in the turf. With 3k left cashed some tickets in the classic to collect $3800 and go home with a smile on my face thinking about what next years cup will have to offer. Was really suprised to see the leader bet enough to take himself out of 1st place in the classic. It is a great tournament and unlike some of the other high stake live money tournaments the races are always very wide open and have plenty of opportunities. I was at Keenelands tournament in April and didnt enjoy it because the card that day was rotten. Looking forward to next year..RC

My Friend Frank Won the Woodbine Contest betting on the 3 in the 11th race. I finished 6th. She had solid back route numbers and was 27 to 1. Race shapes put her in the 1st flight and inside which was king at the Spa for 3 days on the grass. It was a nice score to say the least...RC

Ask the Experts / Re: ROTW - Did anyone understand Thoraograph's analysis?
August 11, 2013, 05:18:09 AM
It wasnt real confusing to me. Dice flavor\'s comment \"Hard to Dismiss\" at the end of his analysis doesnt sound like a throw out to me. He is clearly a different horse on lasix and being a half to 2 stakes winners on the grass makes the transition from synthetic to turf more than likely especially at almost 9 to 1. Unfortunately you never know the post time odds from the morning line. Im sure at the odds Dice wasnt a throw out in TG\'s Eyes......RC

It seems that everyone gets caught up in derby fever and forgets to bet the race that is staring them in the face. The Price on Will Take Charge was ridiculous his Race in the Smarty Jones was visually impressive and then a real clunker in the slop against the same animals. His half brother Take Charge Indy got real good this time of year when he won the Florida Derby. Other than Oxbow and S99 who else was faster. I threw out Delhomme who was dead on the board off the layoff. Treasury Bill was way over bet trying a route the 1st time. Made a nice hit for the day Congrats to team Lukas and Jon Court on a perfect ride for the victory....RC
