Freeloader here and I have been taking advantage. Should be marketed more--this is the best deal of the year.

The ADW I use just credited my account (6 months later) for the 1% excess takeout. I\'d like to parlay it into a ROTW if there is one.

Ask the Experts / Re: I've Never Seen So Many Female Riders In My Life

I edited the original post. Sorry if I offended anyone. This is a handicapping forum, I was expecting to hear what others opinions were on what to do with races filled with low percentage riders, regardless of sex; unfortunately, it turned into an Oprah special.

Ask the Experts / I've Never Seen So Many Female Riders In My Life
May 15, 2012, 12:54:39 PM
Except for a couple of the premier races on this Friday\'s card at Pimlico, there are a tremendous amount of women that have mounts--more so than I have ever seen before. The reason being the Maryland Jockey Club and a Breast Cancer NFP teamed up to raise awareness. As a result, management strongly encouraged many of the connections to ride females.
Personally, I consider riders with less than 10% winning percentages a major factor in my handicapping. The majority (Napravnik and Homeister are good) of female riders have poor winning percentages, so now the issue is what to do with the horses they are on?

Ask the Experts / Re: What's Next for Ben's Cat?
October 31, 2011, 04:12:22 PM
I figured he needed that ONE big horse to get him in. Bud Delp got in because of Spectacular Bid, and his career was no more impressive than Leatherbury\'s excluding Spectacular Bid. Ah Day was his last big horse but couldn\'t cut it in terms of RHOF. Jeremy Rose has been quoted as saying Ben\'s Cat is the third best horse he has ever ridden, ahead of Big Brown and Toccet even. It\'s really a trade off for the 78 year old Trainer who wants to sustain his barn as long as he can--does he go in the easy spots that gets him a decent paycheck or try for those graded stakes that increases his RHOF chances?
I agree though, it is a popularity contest, and it seems he isn\'t that popular, the Cat is his last chance.

Ask the Experts / What's Next for Ben's Cat?

With the Mid-Atlantic turf season coming to a close and the trainer\'s disinclination to ship south for the winter, where do you think the horse will end up next? His dirt numbers are competitive with his turf numbers and the sire profile shows him being better on dirt. Under consideration are the 6f Six Bits at Penn National (200k), 6f Fall Highweight Handicap at Aqueduct (150k Gr. III), or stretching out for the Cigar Mile handicap (250k Gr. 1).
If Ben\'s Cat goes on to have a successful 6 year old campaign and gets some more graded stakes wins under his belt, will this get Leatherbury into the Hall of Fame?
