Ask the Experts / Re: BC Friday

hey silver-
My college classmate owns a piece of intricate spirit and he is a bit short on thorograph numbers but I was at toga for his maiden win and cashed
on him. I thought his next two races were visually impressive, so I am
including him on all my bets. Good luck to my buddy Shawn!

On subject of drop downs at least for Saratoga I would echo what Silver
is saying. If the owner is Klaravich, Dubb and often times Repole they
are looking to win for owners title. We claimed one from Repole in
2017, and the horse was very sound just not a stakes horse. He went
on to win almost 500K although was claimed from us a year later.

That is actually not the case. The new Trump bill calls for 100% bonus
depreciation on yearlings which is big for owners buying a lot of
yearlings and able to expense it right away. I think it also will increase
sale prices for breeders with this provision in place. A friend of mine
Shawn Smeallie is a horse industry advocate that pushed this thru. This
is retroactive to January 2025.

I think render has no shot at all. Owners wanted in and there is only one
chance to run in the derby.Kenny compares this horse to Rattle n Roll.
Might be a good 4yo.

Ask the Experts / japanese replays
October 23, 2024, 07:09:28 AM
Watched a few Japanese replays, they run right handed and is a little tough
to follow, not fluent in Japanese! Awesome Result is quite visually impressive,
will be interesting to see how her numbers stack up, if we have them?

Yes Society was clearly the day maker. Great call in the seminar.
Did well in the Travers too, although if Thorpedo gets by its
a home run instead of a double. Just a great day of racing tho.

Thanks for the input, the trainer also is over 70% to pair or top, but I
also worry about the huge development. I clearly will not let Baffert beat me
and the horse is rested. I am trying to get a little skinny on this race so I can
include some of the bombs I like in races 13 and 14.

Ask the Experts / Struggling on Allen Jerkins

Two questions for the board. Trying to put late pick 5 together Saturday-
Timberlake has not reached his 2yo top and looks slow going in,can I
be confident that he doesnt pop on the cut back and Cox sticks it to me?
Secondly, World Record keeps getting faster, but has to bounce off the neg 1 with
that much development this year right?
Thanks in advance for any input.

Was there for Belmont, the Jim Dandy was totally remodeled. Unfortunately
will likey be packed all the time. I used to like to slip in there and grab
an easy drink to watch a few races.
If you like good old fashioned, Pennells would be near the top of
my list. If you dont mind driving 25 minutes the village pizzeria in east
galway is excellent, both pizza and italian dishes.
For fine dining much more expensive my top 3 would be 15 church,
Chianti, and Osteria Danny.

Seminar up Wednesday, on a more positive note?

Very true TGJB, I guess major league hitters, shooting guards and a few others
qualify as well. It just is annoying to me that forecasts can be that different only a few days out.

AccuWeather has sunny Friday Saturday Sunday. Weather underground has significant rain all three days. Go figure. Only occupation you can be wrong half the time and keep your job.
