Hi guys.
I\'m a newbie to the forum even though I have been reading your posts and have been using Thorograph products over the past few years.
I am one of the 46 people still alive in NYRA\'s Showdown Contest (you need to pick a horse that runs at least third each racing day to advance). The contest is trickier than it sounds (1871 of 1917 entries have been eliminated in 9 racing days).
I have been avoiding horses lacking any early speed since the inner track has been very kind to horses on or near the lead and horses coming back off of long layoffs since you never really know if they are ready to run.
A little help from some of the most sophisticated players in the world would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you have a solid opinion on a good horse to select for the Thursday 2/28 card, I am finding it a little tough. Remember, you are trying to pick a horse you can\'t imagine running worse than third.
I would love to hear from TGJB or TGAB.
Thanks.
I WOULD PREFER YOUR OPINIONS BY \"PERSON TO PERSON MESSAGES\" (looking for an edge on the competition !!!) AND WILL PROMISE TO POST YOUR OPINIONS AFTER ALL CONTESTANTS HAVE MADE THEIR PICKS (12:15 NY time). Feel free to post publicly if you prefer.
