Title: Live Handicapping Course/Seminar
Post by: atakante on February 17, 2016, 09:30:49 AM
Can anybody recommend a good live seminar/course to attend for a beginner/intermediate person to take his game to the next level?  I already have gone through the video material on this site and read a couple books with good reviews on Amazon but am looking for a paid experience taught by pros to wanna be serious handicappers.  Or is it all trial and error sponsored by your own hard earned dollars?  I searched and could not find any such thing at Golden Gate Fields or San Mateo Jockey Club.  Again I am not looking for sth. that will tell me what an exacta is or unrealistic single topic seminars like betting based on a horse confirmation or whether he\'s sweating a lot before the race.  Thanks for the reco.s!  Maybe there are weekend courses in Vegas for this kind of thing?  Simply put, how does one get his game past a current wall he\'s bumping into?

You can try http://www.cynthiapublishing.com for online audio/visual material as well as material from the DRF online store. At those sites you can also find plenty of written material to purchase.

You are already in the right spot, A. There are
many sharp handicappers here that have always
helped me when I\'ve asked for assistance.

Ask away, and be patient of course. Good luck.

Agreed!

The Redboard Room is a tremendous resource. Download yesterday\'s races (that you don\'t know results for), handicap them, and figure out why you got some right and got some wrong. Compare with TG analysis, see what you agree with and don\'t. Start building a database, figure out if you\'re better at dirt/turf and sprint/route.

The best advice I ever got about gambling: Before you ever make a bet, ask yourself, \"What do I know that the public doesn\'t know?\"
