I wonder if this horse ever sleeps he has so many offspring it seems...but his pedigree is killing me. I don\'t see ohw they win going much more than a mile and certianly not more than 1 1/16. With dam side stamina 1 / 18 tops. Yet I\'m getting crushed by leaving them out. Thoughts? Am I alone here?
Uncle Mo has some stamina influences on the dam side of the pedigree. Grandsire Arch won the Super Derby at 10 furlongs. Arch\'s sire Kris S sired an Epsom Derby winner, I believe (Kris Kin?)
Dixieland Band also on the dam side (son of Northern Dancer) as well. That one is the damsire of 2 Ky Derby winners- Monarchos and Street Sense.
I wouldn\'t dismiss Uncle Mo as a classic sire just yet. He\'s obviously passed on his class and in a world where stallions like Boundary (Big Brown) and Lucky Pulpit (California Chrome) can produce classic winners, Uncle Mo has a real shot to make his mark in the breeding industry whether it be siring precocious sprinters or 2 turn stayers.
Most recent Uncle Mo enigma Outwork from the 7th race @ TAM 2/13 just a 6F ALWNW1 vs ?? competition but he looked much more a miler than a sprinter and maybe longer possible.
Two starts two wins. Appears to be a good sized colt connections - Repole, Pletcher, John V., solid fractions with ground loss. I expect to see this one in the Tampa Derby.
Was no surprise in his maiden win in April, which is quite a L/O until today. One to watch in my judgement but unlikely to be a betting bargain.
