Title: Chalk isn't always bad
Post by: ronwar on May 10, 2004, 08:21:45 AM
On Saturday, I played a $32 pick six ticket at Hollywood.  I was five for five going into the final race.  A race in which I singled a 30-1 first time starter on the grass going 5 1/2 furlongs from post 12.
As post time drew near, for the life of me I couldn\'t figure out what I liked so much about the horse.  With 3 min. to post and my single up to 60-1, I began to say to my self, self you are either going to be in pizza and beer or 5 out 6 isn\'t bad.
Then the track announcer came over the intercom to announce, \"On the advice of the stewards, and vet the 12 has been scrathced.\"

Could it be the mojo is working.  Indeed, the favorite drew off from post 1 the easiest of winners, landing me my first pick-six score.  Even though I backed in, I\'ll take it.

RUN CHALK RUN lol
