Title: Some Friday Crazies
Post by: gteasy on October 29, 2015, 10:49:58 PM
R4   3YO Paid Admission just paired his fast dirt top...will son of Candy Ride take
     to the turf?...like the spacing.
R6   O\'Brien defies all the rules...Shogun, blinks on, gets lasix and a post...Sky
Marshall, well handled, has more speed to offer.
R8   Noseda capable of producing a BC top...second time lasix...toss Nemoralia\'s
last and note the trouble line Sep 10 in a field of 19.
R10  Zambian Dream at 30-1?...G1 placed at 1 1/2 miles on turf.

More Friday Crazies (probably more practical vertical than horizontal):

Juvie Turf: Highland Sky (30/1) -- one of many runners with some kind of trouble
in the Pilgrim Stakes at Bel. Finished just behind Azar (10/1 here) and Rays the
Bar (20/1 here) in the Pilgrim. Before he became known for training Funny Cide,
Tagg an elite turf trainer in NY and Maryland.

LV Mile: War Envoy (30/1) -- Another Aidan O\'Brien dirt experiment, this one was
a troubled favorite in last years Juvie Turf.

Juvie Filly Turf: Gliding By (30/1) -- Assuming a private purchase after an
impressive (though not Thorographically) maiden win at WO. Using strictly based
on my recollection that Mott does well with these new acquisitions for Wachtel
and partners.

Gliding By has, what I consider, interesting connections. Based on the success of these guys. Initially, I thought this one might have been owned in Part by Gary Barber (CEO MGM). Barber, Wachtel and Brous apparently do a lot of business together, including owning horses. You are in the high roller fast lane with this one.

While I am not sure, it looks like the syndicators Wachtel & Brous bought into a partnership with the breeder Greenwood Lodge Farm. Interesting to me this group, including Mr. Barber, like to shop in Ontario. If you don\'t get the 30/1 might be because the principals are true believers. Dare I say, they have a recognizable adviser but no house horse references yet.

I think you are in good company, c/b smart angle. Mott and his pct\'s a plus. Good luck with this one. Private Equity Fund special. No musical reference other than the sound track to this seasons Fargo moves me.

Looks like we may go head to head in the Juvy Turf. Guess I\'ll dutch.

I\'m with you on Paid Admission.....fast number on dirt, good spacing, sire stats show turf/dirt about the same.  Worth a flyer at anywhere near 30-1.

Why not the #6?  Like him at 20/1
