Title: Natalma Stakes
Post by: Fairmount1 on October 25, 2015, 05:14:15 PM
Final fractions in chart:

23.63 47.57 1:12.11 1:35.95

Final fractions on screen during replay/race:

24.58 48.32 1:13.06 1:37.00

Anyone have info on what happened here?  Multiple hand timers clocked the 1:35.95 time?  And TGJB, you have stated you always use the info equibase provides is that correct?  The 1:35.95 is the time on the Thorograph sheet.  So while I know you use the other horses as part of your figure making process, this difference by one second would affect the figures you assign in the race, correct?  DRF article summarizing the race also uses the 1:35.95 time.

Also in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, Thorograph notes a trainer change from Harold Hockenberry to Aiden O\'Brien after her fourth race.  Safe to assume this is a feature not provided by DRF PP\'s....hmmmmm, no surprise I guess, if it is true that there was a trainer change during a European\'s career.

FWIW

The inner rail appeared to be out some 10 - 12 feet.

Each of the chart fractions are 98% of the corresponding video fractions (but not the exact pct.)

about or metric conversion?

We don\'t necessarily rely on Equibase time. In this case the hand time we got was very close to what they ended up publishing, and fit right in with the horses and day.
