Title: Weekend Warrior Create a Card Discount
Post by: richiebee on October 16, 2015, 04:45:11 AM
Sitting high above midtown Manhattan last night, pretty certain I heard JB
yelling \"THE METS WIN! THE METS WIN!\" from somewhere down in SoHo.

So I\'ll address this to the TG Marketing Mavens: We need a \"weekend warrior\"
create a card discount. After a good deal of scrutiny, I have decided that the
most attractive wagering opportunities to me this weekend are: (a) the P3 at
Kee Friday which begins w/Race 8; (b) the last daily double at Bel on Saturday
which kicks off with the Athenia, which should have T-Generates licking their
chops (the two favorites are \"penalized\" and posted outside); and (c) the $.20
P4 at WO (Sunday) which starts with the Nearctic Stake (race 4), featuring
among others The Great War, your correspondent\'s Derby Future selection.

Three different tracks on three different days. Gotta be a discount in there
somewhere.

How great is this. Decent racing and serious October beisbol this
weekend and (a Met fan can dream) Breeders Cup/World Series day night
doubleheaders @ Living Room Downs Friday and Saturday two weeks from now.

Congrats to Richie, TGJB and the rest of the boards Mets contingent. An awesome series as were the other 3.

Sorry boys it\'s GO CUBBIES for me gaining revenge for 1969!!!! No black cats at Citi Field PLEASE!

I had a customer the other day in her late 70\'s or early 80\'s who is from Chicago tell me she remembers listening to the 1945 world series on the radio in grade school like it was yesterday. Phil Cavarretta was her favorite player because he was cute and from Chicago then but she is all about Kris Bryant today.

Good luck,

Frank D.

Richie--West Village, not Soho, and I yelled so loud I scared the piss out of my cat. You would think he\'d be used to it by now.

Frank-- I was at the black cat game. I wonder if the Mets front office (or a fan) is smart or resourceful enough...

The Mets should contact me. I\'ve got 2 black cats with plenty of time on their hands.

Black cats...goats...not necessary...With their pitching (faced the two best pitchers in the league 4 times in 5 games and won 3 of them with their main hitters Wright/Duda/Cespedes hitting <200 the last four games!) and the fact that the Cubs SS is out, it shouldn\'t be close...this coming from a Yankee fan who doesn\'t hate the Mets and can look at it objectively...it\'s been a long time for you Mets fans...you deserve a title..
