We head into the final week of the long 40 day grind. The weather has been unbelievable all meet long, an unheard of 8 turf races coming off the green for the meet. A chance of spotty showers for tomorrow and that\'s it, weekend is looking beautiful.
In size 5 hat land Irad Ortiz has really arrived and the label of he\'s going to be a good one can be replaced with he is there. Kendrick Carmouche has shown he belongs in NY full time and Luis Saez is riding very well again. Manny Franco is lucky to be alive that alone makes it a good meet for him despite a sub par performance, Frenchy has been a disaster and Corey Lanarie left town 0 for 57.
Chad looks like he can hold off a late Pletcher assault with many ML shorties over the next 3 days. TAP is stakes loaded for the weekend but many of his 2 yr olds weren\'t race ready yet up here. Clement and McLaughlin have been nothing short of fantastic while Jeremiah Englehart found the winners circle a lot more than anyone could have imagined. The dreaded Saratoga duck (0 for the meet) has some big names still on it, Zito, Nevin,McPeek, Matz and Wilkes.
Personally I\'ll come in at 22 or 23 live appearances, far and away my least since going to 40 days. If you told me on August 17th coming off 3 solid days in a row my ledger would stand where it does today, I would not have believed you. I thought I was solid profit wise for the meet and looking for a really big one!
Oh how things can change!!!!! Still only a half bet away from the Mendoza line and getting ready for the big weekend finale :)
Good luck to all,
Frank D.

If JL hasn\'t already blown town, why not? He\'s committed to Kentucky Downs, Saturday.
Poor Frenchy,beaten/battered/berated! Know Jimbo upset, Frenchy his favorite :)
How about Nick Zito on the collar and Michelle Dutrow errr Nevin...unthinkable going in.
Speaking of Jimbo...
