It\'s going to be very interesting how TGJB breaks out the day.
I\'m not jumping into the Frosted / AP pace scenario, middle half and last quarter this time of night after a long day.
Silver Charm made mention in an earlier string about the text I sent out to quite a few about the amount of water being put down on the track. In 43 years of wrestling with the Spa I\'ve never seen anything like today. I was in the backyard for the first 4 races before going up to my seats, so I don\'t know what when on before then. After races 4-8 the track was watered very heavy with 2 trucks covering all the running ground. Nothing after race 9, before the Travers ONLY one truck came out and soaked the inside paths, no 2nd truck covering the outer ground. It was barely 80 today and no humidity and more water went on to that track than any day it was 90 with high humidity.
The Ellis Shipper and Private Zone benefitted from it and I have to assume that AP was meant to?

Living room downs disadvantage #47
I know the track flipped. Wasn\'t sure why but water certainly top of the list of reasons.
You think the rail dried up pre Travers or not?
IMHO NO
I think many are gasping at straws as to why AP got beat. Pace scenario\'s have merit, bounce as well, frequent flyer miles etc....
Maybe AP doesn\'t like get hooked and being inside of a horse in tight quarters?
Who knows, the only other battle he has ever had was in the Derby where he was 5 wide.
Bottom line is he got beat and not too many figured on the one that beat him!
Did not go back to look at head on\'s but the 2nd and 7th race inside speeds, both long shots, held fairly well along the rail.
Privman, DRF wrote, that if AP was dueling outside of Frosted, he would have won.I don\'t buy that for one second or any excuse about AP losing because of an outside stalking preference or a dead rail.
maybe the winner was just better
