Me and wife going to lake GEORGE tomorrow and want to hit the track Saturday. Admission tickets are starting at about $60. Do I play the game and wait until late tom or sat morning to get them cheaper? I know I risk not getting them at all but I think some will be left over.
Horsegoer,
I just got back in town and was checking on my ticket offers, stub hub has GA for as low as $35.
Maybe I should take at that price.
StubHub GA low now up to $43. craigslist Albany has plenty of GA for $50 each.
Been watching the market for a month. The 2 in Q I took for $175 each was about as good as it got as far as seats go. About three hours after I got those, two in G appeared for $180 each; mulled it over, by the time I made up my mind to do it about five minutes later, they were gone. Very upsetting, I watched for a bargain for a month, if I waited three more hours I woulda scored out. Damn.
People are digging in now: best you can do for a pair right now on SH is $203 each...in Y, aka the last section of grandstand. I\'ve talked to some seat-holders who feel like they can\'t lose, they\'re swinging for the fences on their prices, if they don\'t get something ridiculous they\'re just gonna go themselves. Someone on CL has two up in H for $275 each at the moment, now there\'s someone serious about making a deal.
BTW, off topic, but tell me again how this benefits NYRA? They get a cut of the secondary market? Just wondering why Kay goes on the local news sportin\' the $hit-eating grin bragging about how he heard someone\'s selling a pair in B for $5,000.
My best read is best you\'ll do is $50 per for GA, and $175-$200 per for some kind of seat. Take care of it in the morning so you don\'t have it on your mind tomorrow, you want to enjoy LG and come back fresh for Saturday - my god, what a card.
Got rid of my D\'s last night but not for anywhere near what I thought I could get.
There are some crazy numbers still out there, most really good clubhouse seats inside the 1/16 pole were between $600-$1000. As Papa said there were a few bargains as well, many in the same territory as above for $300-$400 yesterday but they are gone.
I kept my L\'s as the backyard will be way too chaotic tomorrow for gambling. Internet will not be great either I\'m sure, charge those phones up.
Absolutely perfect weather day and the electricity is ramping up.
A beautiful day for the backyard today, a great day to socialize as the NY Bred betting card doesn\'t hold much allure today at all.
Good luck to all,
Frank D.
